The American Tobiano & Overo Associatation  mission is to: 

Promote the paint horse and the paint horse registry. ATOA is committed to preserving the Tobiano Horse and the Overo Horse and its unique patterns and genetics. 

We believe that preserving the genetics of this breed is beneficial to the preservation of the paint horse industry. With the unique breeding programs and the enhanced new genetics and DNA testing, our goal is to preserve these lines.
