ATOA recognizes the following white-spotting genes for Permanent Registry consideration:
Testing must be conducted through an ATOA-approved lab
Solid Paint (AQHA, APHA): Registered as (T)
Undocumented Horses: Registered as (U)
These horses will be tentatively registered and are only permitted for non-breeding purposes. Geldings only
These are groups of tests that provide results for certain colors, patterns and health conditions in a specific horse. Stallions are required to have their Genetic Health Panel results on file before foals can be registered. Horses with only AQHA or Thoroughbred parents are required to have a Color/Pattern Panel testing conducted as part of the registration process. The Color/Pattern Panel can also help advance your horse to Permanent Registry.
